A joint venture between Sony and HondaSony Honda Mibility, earlier announced that it will showcase its AFEELA concept car at the Japan Mobility Show 10 to be held at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo, Japan from October 26 to November 11 this year.
According to Sony Honda Mibility's previous statement, AFEELA brand models are expected to be available for pre-order in the Japanese market first in 2026, and are planned to be launched in the Japanese market in the same year. It is expected to enter the North American market in the spring of 2027.
The AFEELA brand name comes from "Feel", which echoes Sony's brand philosophy of "touching" and its approach to creating products that truly attract people to use.
The AFEELA brand prototype is actually very similar to the previously announced Vision S 01. It is also designed with a medium-to-large RV structure. The display in front of the car can display different images and colors when charging, etc., to interpret the human-vehicle interaction mode.
In addition, the AFEELA brand prototype is the first model equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride Flex system-on-a-chip. It also adopts the Snapdragon Digital Chassis digital cockpit design solution and has partnered with Epic Games to create a comprehensive in-car entertainment system, which includes the ability for passengers to play 3A-level games using the vehicle's computing power, while also providing a richer entertainment experience through Sony audio and video technology.
As for the vehicle system, it is equipped with more than 50 sets of sensing elements, which ensure vehicle safety through a 360-degree perception system. At the same time, it will also use Honda's vehicle safety technology to ensure that the driver maintains the best operating conditions, and continuously update the information required for driving through 5G networking technology.
