Sony has confirmed that it is currently testing the ability to stream games to the cloud on PlayStation 5.PlayStation Plus Premium subscription serviceOne of the projects.
Prior to this, Sony has provided PlayStation Now services in markets such as the United States and the United Kingdom, allowing players to play games on platforms such as PlayStation 4 online through streaming, and later incorporated them into the PlayStation Plus Premium subscription service.
In an earlier statement, Nick Maguire, Sony's vice president of global sales, confirmed that PlayStation 5 game content is currently being tested for streaming, and it is expected that users who subscribe to the PlayStation Plus Premium service will be able to play PlayStation 5 games via streaming.
Although Sony has previously stated that providing game content through subscription downloads and streaming is not practical, it is clear that Sony has not given up on such development possibilities in the market development, and has even recently announced the launch ofA handheld product called Project Q, which mainly allows players to play games on PlayStation 5 via Wi-Fi connection, and may even allow players to use streaming game services through Project Q in the future.
However, Sony has not yet confirmed the specific launch date of Project Q. It also stated that the service of streaming PlayStation 5 games is only in the early testing stage and there is no estimated time plan for the official service.
