OnEarlier "State of Play" live showIn the announcement, Sony also announced its wireless large-scale fighting game joystick product plan "Project Defiant", which boasts of using PlayStation Link technology to achieve ultra-low latency wireless transmission effects to meet the needs of fighting games that require fast operation of move command input.
"Project Defiant" does not yet have an official name, but Sony expects to launch this product in 2026 and plans to announce more product details in the coming months.
"Project Defiant" itself was designed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It adopts the design elements of the DualSense wireless controller and is presented in black and white. The buttons are also presented with PlayStation symbol elements. It is connected to the PlayStation 5 wirelessly via a USB connector equipped with PlayStation Link technology. It can also be connected via a USB-C cable.
As for the PlayStation Link technology, it claims to be able to respond to ultra-low latency wireless transmission effects, similar to Razer's HyperSpeed wireless connection technology and Logitech's LIGHTSPEED technology design, both of which claim to be able to respond to e-sports level operation input signal transmission requirements in a wireless form.
Like the DualSense Edge wireless controller, Sony will also provide an exclusive storage box for "Project Defiant" to make it convenient for users to carry it with them.
