Solidigm, the company that took over Intel's NAND memory business from SK Hynix and changed its name, recently announced the launch of its D5-P5336 series of PCIe SSDs, which are designed to offer the highest storage capacity. The series covers capacities from 7.68TB to 61.44TB, meeting the needs of a wide range of cloud storage applications and various data-intensive computing needs.
Solidigm stated that compared to traditional hard drive storage models, introducing the D5-P5336 series PCIe SSD will increase storage capacity by up to 6 times within the same cabinet volume, and even increase storage capacity by 2 times compared to TCL SSDs, while maintaining the same access speed as TLC SSDs.
In addition to improving storage capacity and access efficiency, the D5-P5336 series PCIe SSD can also meet various edge computing deployments, be used for artificial intelligence computing needs, and even be used for content delivery services and network storage services.
Compared to other storage modes, Solidigm emphasizes that the D5-P5336 series PCIe SSD can have a lower total cost of ownership in terms of power loss, cooling system costs, and occupied volume.
