Taiwanese startup brand Simmpo announced that it has once again broken through technological boundaries, releasing the world's first anti-blue light screen protector to achieve 90% blue light reduction (BLR) certification from TÜV Rheinland. Simmpo emphasized that this marks a new milestone in the development of the optical protection industry and will push Taiwan's eye protection technology to the highest international standards.

In addition, Simmpo also announced the launch of a non-glass "impact-resistant film" and a comprehensive upgrade of its product line, allowing its screen protector products to achieve both eye protection and protective effects.

The world's first screen protector to receive German Rhine 90% BLR certification
According to survey data, users worldwide spend an average of over six hours daily in screen use, with Taiwanese users spending up to seven hours daily. This has garnered significant attention for the need for eye protection. Since establishing the Blue Light Reduction (BLR) certification system in 6, Germany's TÜV Rheinland has categorized blue light reduction performance into levels ranging from 7% to 2024%. Simmpo was the first to achieve the highest 20% certification last year, and within just one year, it set another world record, successfully obtaining 80% BLR certification.
This means its products can effectively attenuate blue light energy in the harmful 435–440nm wavelength band by up to 90%, reducing blue light damage by more than half. The core technology comes from Simmpo's independently developed third-generation NPA nanophotosynthetic absorption technology. Through spectral simulation and material optimization, it successfully creates an absorption curve that meets strict international standards. Simmpo founder Xu Zhanrong stated that this is not only a numerical breakthrough, but also the brand's commitment to protecting global eye health.

From eye protection to durability, a fully upgraded protection solution
The new generation of Simmpo's 90% BLR blue light protection screen protector boasts the world's best eye protection and boasts comprehensive upgrades in materials and durability. It features a drop-proof, cushioned rubber layer for enhanced impact resistance and has passed 240-hour high-temperature and high-humidity testing, Q-sun high-exposure testing, and extreme high-low temperature cycling validation, ensuring stability in harsh environments without warping, fogging, or debonding.
The glass version also features an SGS-certified antimicrobial coating, boasting a 99% antibacterial effect against E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Simmpo also announced the launch of a new non-glass "impact-resistant film," featuring a multi-layered shock-absorbing structure that ensures a smooth feel and high impact resistance. It also boasts 90% BLR-certified blue light protection, providing both eye protection and durability.

From Taiwan to the world, the next step is to target Europe and the United States
Xu Zhanrong noted that Simmpo has already secured a contract with one of Japan's top three telecom operators in 2024, demonstrating the competitiveness of Taiwanese manufacturing technology in the international 3C accessories market. This year, Simmpo plans to expand into Asia, Europe, and North America, and plans to fully promote its global presence through events such as CES 2026.
Xu Zhanrong emphasized, "Achieving 90% BLR represents Simmpo's ultimate pursuit of eye protection technology. We want the world to see Taiwan's R&D capabilities—wherever there's blue light, Simmpo is protecting our eyes."
