ShutterstockAnnounceThe acquisition of Envato, a provider of digital creative assets and templates, will expand its content development model for digital assets such as images, while also allowing it to enter more digital application markets.
Envato is a garage brand founded by Collis Ta'eed, Cyan Ta'eed, and Jun Rung in Sydney, Australia in 2006. It mainly provides various digital images, videos, WordPress themes, plug-ins, fonts, 3D materials, video content, music, sound effects, and even online tutorials and e-books to help more users create website content or various digital audio and video content.
Currently, many people obtain a large amount of digital image material content through Envato's Envato Elements subscription service, which attracts many freelance creative workers, designers, small businesses or large companies.
Shutterstock announced the acquisition of Envato, which is expected to strengthen the scale of its digital asset content application development and expand more development opportunities, including strengthening Shutterstock's collection of digital asset content through Envato's more than 1000 million images, 600 million videos, 100 million audio clips, more than 50 content templates, and more than 20 graphics and fonts.
On the other hand, through the digital assets such as web page templates, program codes, background themes, etc. included in Envato, Shutterstock can also enter the new digital content market and expand new development opportunities.
After completing the acquisition of Envato, Shutterstock will launch a new Envato brand visual identity design and gradually apply it to its services.
