On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, Shure announced the launch of its first high-end microphone MV7i with an integrated recording interface in Taiwan, emphasizing the provision of a more convenient recording and creation experience, making it easier for creators, musicians who need to record two-track sound, or podcasts and other creative content to record clear sound.

The biggest difference is that the MV7i has a built-in recording interface including USB-C. In addition to being able to connect devices via XLR and 1/4-inch input interfaces, it can also be connected to laptops, mobile phones or tablets via USB-C or an adapter. Recording can be carried out with the Shure MOTIV Mix App, eliminating the need to connect other recording-related equipment, allowing creators to record with a single microphone and computer and other devices.
If you need to record a second audio track, the MV7i has XLR and 1/4-inch input interfaces to connect a second microphone or other audio equipment.
In addition, the MV7i also has a SmartGate function that can automatically detect speaking distance, volume, and changes in ambient sound to automatically calibrate the sound recording effect. It can also actively reduce the surrounding noise in the recording environment to keep the main recorded sound clear. It can even respond to mixed, multi-track or stereo recording modes to meet different recording quality requirements.
To adapt to different recording environments, the MV7i can simulate the reverberation effects of different spaces and adjust the intensity accordingly, ensuring that the recording quality is not affected by reverberation. In addition, digital cancellation technology is added to address situations such as popping sounds that may occur when recording speech and singing at close range, thereby eliminating harsh explosive sounds and reducing the need for additional pop filters on the microphone.
The MV7i was launched at a price of US$349, and the price in the Taiwanese market is NT$11990.
In addition to showcasing the MV7i in Taiwan, Shure's distributor, Jianning Enterprise, is also showcasing the Nexadync, a microphone Shure launched last year for recording instrument output amplifiers, and the high-quality KSM11 microphone.
