Uber Eats announced today that Golden Bell News anchor Shen Chunhua and 2019 NBA champion and current New Taipei City Kings player Jeremy Lin will serve as new spokespersons, and launched a new promotional slogan "Uber Eats (should) be available for ordering," emphasizing that almost all daily necessities can be ordered on Uber Eats.
In its 2023 Consumer Desire Survey, Uber Eats stated that "eggs" and "McDonald's" were the top search terms for "fresh groceries" and "catering," respectively. This reflects the global egg shortage this year and Taiwanese people's frequent purchases of fast food, while also reflecting the convenience of food delivery platform services.
Beverages are also a frequently searched item on Uber Eats. The highest percentage of consumers requesting "mild spicy" in their delivery orders is also high, accounting for 20% of all orders. This is 2.9 times higher than "medium spicy" and 5 times higher than "high spicy." Furthermore, the percentage of people requesting "no green onions" in their orders is even higher than "no cilantro," accounting for almost 5% of all orders and 2.3 times higher than "no cilantro."
This time, Shen Chunhua and Jeremy Lin were invited to serve as the new spokespersons, and the promotional scripts were "Youtiao can't be ordered from Toutiao, but you can order from Youtiao" and "Jiaotou can't be ordered from Suantou, but you can order from Suantou" respectively, to illustrate the characteristic that almost all products can (should) be ordered from Uber Eats.
