Sharp earlier launched the new AQUOS R9 and AQUOS wish4 mobile phones in the Japanese market. The former also cooperates with Leica in camera technology and is expected to be officially launched in mid-July this year, while the latter is designed for long-term use needs and is expected to be officially launched in early July this year. At the same time, both mobile phones are confirmed to be launched in the Taiwan market, and are also expected to be sold in other Asia-Pacific markets.
AQUOS R9
Among them, the AQUOS R9 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor, 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage capacity. The screen adopts a 6.5-inch, Full HD+ resolution Pro IGZO OLED display panel design, the battery capacity is 5000mAh, and the body adopts IPX5・IPX8/IP6X/MIL-STD-810G protection specifications. It is available in green and white styles, and the sound output part supports Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound technology.
The camera system features a 5030-megapixel video lens with an 84° viewing angle, paired with a 5030-megapixel wide-angle lens designed in collaboration with Leica, an f/1.9 aperture, and a 1.55-inch sensor, and an ultra-wide-angle lens also with 5030 megapixels, an f/2.2 aperture, and a 122° viewing angle. The rear camera module adopts a unique circular structure, supervised by designer Kazunari Miyake's "miyake design" studio. The arc, which does not present four square corners, interprets the image of a "free curve" and presents it in a simple form.
As for the part that integrates automatic generation of artificial intelligence technology on the device side, it can automatically record calls when it is inconvenient to answer the call, and through voice-to-text conversion, users can view the message content directly on the screen.
This phone is expected to be launched in the Japanese market after mid-July this year, and will be available in Taiwan, Indonesia and Singapore markets thereafter.
AQUOS wish4
The AQUOS wish4 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It features a 6.6-inch HD+ LCD display and a 5000mAh battery. The body is IPX5, IPX8, IP6X, and MIL-STD-810H compliant. The camera system includes an 800-megapixel video lens and a 5010-megapixel wide-angle lens. Its exterior design was also supervised by the "miyake design" studio and shares design elements with the AQUOS R9.
However, AQUOS wish4 does not cooperate with Leica technology, but instead uses AQUOS's own ProPix lite imaging technology, which also supports night shooting, vivid colors, and the best shooting effects judged by artificial intelligence.
AQUOS wish4 also targets the needs of mass market users, so it also has parental management functions to meet the needs of controlling children's use of mobile phones, or a simple interface that is easy for the elderly to operate. It also has a built-in spam call protection function. When a call is not recorded in the mobile contact list, the phone will automatically confirm the caller's name and intention through voice inquiry to prevent malicious calls and fraud.
This phone will be launched in the Japanese market in early July this year, and will be available in Taiwan and Singapore markets later.
