Earlier, Sharp announced the launch of a new mid-range mobile phone, AQUOS sense8, in cooperation with telecom operators in Japan. The phone also features a large screen and a large battery capacity, as well as high-resolution shooting capabilities. In addition to being sold with telecom operators' tariff plans, it will also be sold in the Japanese market as a blank phone.
In terms of specifications, the AQUOS sense8 is equipped with a 6.1-inch IGZO OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The body is made of an aluminum alloy frame with a slightly curved back design, which complies with the US military MIL-STD protection specifications.
The built-in processor uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, coupled with 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage capacity. The battery capacity is 5000mAh, which supports 39 hours of continuous video playback time. It is claimed that the battery can still maintain 3% health after 90 years of use.
The camera uses a 5300-megapixel, 1/1.55-inch photosensitive element, and supports full-pixel phase difference focus, digital crop zoom function equivalent to 2x optical zoom, and HDR effect processing through WAR files to improve image detail performance. ProPix 5 technology is also used to improve the image detail performance. It is also equipped with an 800-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a frame rate. In addition, it will also pass the DESIGH FOR AQUOS certification program, allowing third-party companies to create suitable filter accessories for this phone.
Sharp boasts that the AQUOS sense8 weighs only 159 grams, and the body is built with Center Circle Design elements. It also provides at least 3 major version upgrades of the Android operating system and at least 5 years of system security updates.
Currently, AQUOS sense8 is being launched in the Japanese market first, and is expected to be sold in cooperation with telecom operators such as NTT Docomo, au KDDI, Rakuten Telecom, UQ Mobile, and J:COM MOBILE. It should also be introduced to the Taiwanese market later.
