Last year, it launched a lightweight and technologically advancedAQUOS ZeroLater, Sharp announced the launch of the second-generation model - AQUOS Zero 2 in Japan.
Compared to the first-generation model, Sharp has increased the refresh rate of the AQUOS Zero 2's OLED screen to 240Hz, while also increasing the touch sampling rate to the same 240Hz specification, thereby corresponding to a faster touch response speed.
Prior to this, ASUS launchedROG Phone 2,as well asBlack Shark 2 ProWhile both boast a 240Hz touch sampling rate, their screen refresh rates are limited to 120Hz. Sharp's AQUOS Zero 2, while still using a 120Hz refresh rate, achieves a 240Hz refresh rate through a patching technique, touting itself as the world's first smartphone to offer a full 240Hz display.
In terms of hardware, the AQUOS Zero 2 uses a 2430-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 6.4, and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 display effects. It also uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage capacity, and is equipped with a 3130mAh battery capacity design. The operating system uses the Android 10 version.
The phone is equipped with an 800-megapixel video camera, a main camera consisting of a 1220-megapixel standard lens and a 2010-megapixel wide-angle lens, and is equipped with under-screen fingerprint recognition and NFC. The body is also IPX5, IPX8/IP6X rated waterproof and dustproof, and weighs only 142 grams.
Sharp plans to officially launch the phone this winter, but it is not yet certain whether it will be launched in the Taiwanese market.
