Seagate will launch the PlayStation-authorized Seagate Game Drive PS10 NVMe SSD in the Taiwan market on October 25, further expanding the storage capacity of PlayStation 5 while meeting the system's operating performance.
The Seagate Game Drive PS5 NVMe SSD itself is designed with PCIe Gen 4 specifications and uses a Seagate-certified E18 controller and 3D TLC NAND, providing sequential read speeds of up to 7300MB per second, and has passed 180 million hours of uninterrupted continuous testing and 2550 TB capacity writes, thereby emphasizing the durability of this SSD. It also comes with a passive heat sink that meets the specifications of the PlayStation 5 expansion slot.
Judging from the design, the Seagate Game Drive PS5 NVMe SSD may actually be based on Seagate's previously launched FireCuda 530 SSD.
The Seagate Game Drive PS5 NVMe SSD will be available in 1TB and 2TB storage capacities, with a suggested retail price of NT$4690 and NT$8690 respectively, and comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
