Seagate announced the launch of the new Ultra-Compact SSD, which features an extremely lightweight size and ultra-fast data transfer performance, and is available in 1TB and 2TB large-capacity versions. It is suitable for all types of devices, whether it is work backup or carrying multimedia data on the go, it can easily handle it.
The Ultra-Compact SSD is as small as a thumb and can even be hung directly on a keychain, but it has built-in high-speed SSD transmission performance with a maximum transmission speed of 1000MB/s. It can quickly store high-resolution audio and video files or large project data. It can not only free up the internal storage space of PCs, mobile phones or game consoles, but also greatly improve the efficiency of data movement across devices.
To meet the needs of different environments, Seagate Ultra-Compact SSD adopts a sturdy shell design, has 3-meter vertical drop protection and impact resistance, and has IP54 dust and water resistance design, with a detachable rubber protective cover, which can provide safe protection even during outdoor shooting, mobile office or travel.
Seagate has also incorporated environmental protection concepts into its product design. At least 35% of the materials in the Ultra-Compact SSD are recycled and reused, responding to the trend of sustainable development.
It uses a USB-C interface and supports mainstream systems such as Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS, including mobile phones, tablets, and game consoles. Users can quickly synchronize files through Seagate Toolkit backup software, and it comes with a six-month free trial of Dropbox Backup (can back up one computer and one external hard drive) and a six-month subscription service for Mylio Photos+ to help users organize photos and videos.
In addition, the product comes with a three-year limited warranty and three-year Seagate Rescue Data Recovery service to enhance overall value and reliability.
The Seagate Ultra-Compact SSD is expected to be available in Taiwan in late July, with a suggested retail price of NT$3390 (1TB) and NT$5490 (2TB). It is currently available for purchase on the Seagate official website and authorized channels.
