SAP announces a generative AI digital assistant powered by large-scale natural language modelsJoule, and will gradually be embedded in SAP's enterprise cloud solutions and combined with third-party data sources to enable companies to gain more intelligent business insights.
Joule will organize complex data scattered across multiple systems and then present clear and intelligent insights to enterprises through contextual processing. It will also help enterprises improve work efficiency through security and compliance.

Joule not only understands your commands, but also your intentions."
In the future, Joule will be integrated into various SAP applications, including HR, expense management, supply chain, procurement, customer experience management, and the SAP Business Technology Platform. With a simple question or description, businesses will be able to gain comprehensive insights from SAP solutions and a vast amount of information from third-party sources.
For example, in the future, companies can ask Joule questions to identify regions with poor sales performance. It can also link to other databases to reveal supply chain issues, automatically connecting to supply chain systems and suggesting solutions. SAP stated that Joule will continue to provide new application scenarios for various SAP solutions, such as helping to write unbiased and relevant job descriptions and even providing recommended interview questions.
Joule is expected to be launched first in SAP Human Resources Cloud and SAP Start later this year, and is planned to be integrated into SAP S/4HANA Cloud Standard Edition early next year. In the future, it will also be embedded in SAP CRM Cloud, SAP Procurement Cloud and SAP Business Technology Platform.
