At its IFA 2025 pre-show event, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 FE, positioned as the most affordable model in the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung also updated its flagship tablet series, the Galaxy Tab S11, with two new models: the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S11.

The Galaxy S25 FE is the best entry point into the Galaxy AI ecosystem

Among them, Samsung positioned the Galaxy S25 FE as "the best entry-level device to enter the Galaxy AI ecosystem", allowing more users to enjoy flagship AI functions at a reasonable price.

In terms of design, the Galaxy S25 FE inherits the design language of the Galaxy S25 series, equipped with an Exynos 2400 processor, 8GB of memory, plus 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage capacity, and a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen that supports 120Hz screen refresh rate and uses a more enhanced Armor Aluminum body.

The color options include light blue (Icyblue), black (Jetblack), dark blue (Navy), and white. In addition, it has a built-in 4900mAh battery capacity, supports 45W wired fast charging, and introduces a heat sink that is approximately 10% larger than the previous generation model to improve heat dissipation and sustained performance.

Pre-installed with the One UI 8 user interface and equipped with multimodal AI agent features, the Galaxy S25 FE seamlessly integrates voice, touch, and video input, enhancing the convenience of everyday operations. For example, Gemini Live supports real-time video conversations, offering intelligent suggestions based on what's in the camera. Now Bar and Now Brief proactively provide traffic, reminders, music, and other information on the lock screen or during daily schedules. The Circle to Search feature makes game prompts and searches more intuitive and uninterrupted.

In terms of privacy and security, Samsung has launched the KEEP (Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection) design, which establishes a dedicated encrypted storage space for AI functions and uses the Knox Vault security mechanism to ensure that all personalized data remains only on the device, thereby strengthening the credibility of the Galaxy AI platform.

Imaging remains the main feature of the FE series. The Galaxy S25 FE is equipped with an upgraded 1200-megapixel front video camera and ProVisual Engine imaging technology, which can correspond to clearer portraits and low-light selfies. The Generative Edit function can automatically suggest removing background passers-by or filling the picture, and the Portrait Studio function can generate more realistic and personalized virtual avatars.

Video features have also been comprehensively enhanced, including Instant Slow-mo, which instantly converts any video clip into slow motion; Audio Eraser, which isolates and eliminates sound sources; and Auto Trim, which automatically selects the best clips from a video, streamlining post-production. Combined with Super HDR and low-noise modes, night shots and dynamic images are enhanced for greater detail.

In terms of software, Samsung provides up to 7 versions of operating system upgrades and 7 years of security updates to extend the device life and experience.

In addition to updating the Galaxy S25 FE, Samsung also launched the Galaxy Buds3 FE, which works with the Galaxy S25 FE to provide a more complete and immersive audio-visual experience.

The Galaxy S25 FE will be available in select markets starting September 9th, and comes with a 4-month Google AI Pro subscription, allowing users to experience more complete AI features such as Gemini, Flow, and NotebookLM.

Galaxy Tab S11 series re-imports MediaTek processor

In addition, Samsung also announced the Galaxy Tab S2025 series flagship tablets at IFA 11, launching the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11 respectively. They are touted as Samsung's smartest and lightest flagship tablets to date. Not only are they fully integrated with Galaxy AI and the latest One UI 8 interface, they also combine upgraded Samsung DeX and a newly designed S Pen, focusing on the dual needs of productivity and creative freedom.

The redesigned S Pen features a hexagonal shape and tapered tip, allowing for a wider writing angle and delivering a writing and drawing experience closer to pen and paper. Quick Tools and Sticky Note allow users to annotate or edit on the fly without switching apps.

For multitasking, Samsung DeX adds Extended Mode, which transforms the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and an external monitor into a true dual-screen environment. It can also create up to four customizable workspaces, perfect for handling work, creativity, and personal planning.

The Galaxy Tab S11 series once again features a MediaTek processor, the Dimensity 9400+, for even higher performance. The device is only 5.1mm thick, with a narrower 5.2mm bezel. It features a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, boasting a peak brightness of up to 1600 nits, for a crystal-clear display both indoors and outdoors. Furthermore, the Galaxy Tab S11 series boasts a large-capacity battery and an improved cooling system, ensuring stable operation for extended periods.

The Galaxy Tab S11 series supports professional application services such as Goodnotes, Clip Studio Paint, LumaFusion, Notion, and offers free trials or discount plans to attract designers, creators and professionals to explore more possibilities.

The Galaxy Tab S11 series will also be available in select markets starting September 9th, in gray and silver. Samsung also announced that One UI 4 will be extended to the Galaxy Tab S8 series starting in October, further enhancing the AI experience on Galaxy tablets.
