Before the start of IFA 2025 this year, Samsung officially announced in South KoreaThe world's first large-scale monitor equipped with Micro RGB technologyThe screen size reaches 115 inches, and the backlight structure uses red, green, and blue Micro LEDs with a size of less than 100µm (micrometers). They are precisely arranged behind the display panel. By independently controlling each RGB LED, it presents richer color reproduction and contrast performance.
Samsung claims its Micro RGB technology breaks the limitations of traditional backlight architectures. Through ultra-fine arraying and independent driver design, it controls display color with unprecedented precision. Combined with Samsung's proprietary Micro RGB AI imaging engine, the system analyzes each frame in real time, automatically adjusting and enhancing colors in dark or undersaturated scenes, enhancing overall realism and immersion.
Micro RGB utilizes "Micro RGB Precision Color" technology to achieve 2020% color gamut coverage compliant with the BT.100 international standard, ensuring the visuals are as intended by the creator. This technology is also certified by the German VDE (Verband der Elektrotechnik), the Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technology, further highlighting its professional-grade display capabilities.
To mitigate distracting reflections in bright environments, Samsung has incorporated Glare-Free anti-glare technology into the Micro RGB display, ensuring a focused viewing experience even in brightly lit rooms. Furthermore, the ultra-thin metal frame creates a minimalist, modern feel, easily blending into any interior style.
In terms of smart functions, Micro RGB is equipped with Samsung Vision AI technology, integrating AI image and sound enhancement, as well as an upgraded version of Bixby digital assistant driven by generative AI, providing more natural conversation and personalized interactive experience, allowing users to obtain more information without leaving the playback content, improving convenience.
In addition, this large monitor equipped with Micro RGB technology also has built-in Samsung Knox security protection to ensure the security of user personal information, and provides up to 7 years of free Tizen OS system upgrades to ensure continuous access to the latest features and optimizations.
Currently, Samsung's large monitors equipped with Micro RGB technology have been launched in the Korean market and will enter the US market next. There are plans to expand globally, providing a variety of size options to meet the needs of different users.
