Samsung announced the launch of its new consumer-grade SSD product in Taiwan - the 9100 PRO solid-state drive. Equipped with a PCIe 5.0 interface, it provides excellent performance and powerful multitasking capabilities, and has wide compatibility, bringing a smoother access experience to laptops, gaming desktops and game consoles.
In terms of performance, the overall access speed of the 9100 PRO is doubled compared to the previous generation PCIe 4.0 interface, with a continuous read speed of up to 14800 MB/s and a continuous write speed of up to 13400 MB/s, a performance improvement of up to 990% compared to the previous generation 99 PRO.
The random read speed is increased to 2200K IOPS, the random write speed is increased to 2600K IOPS, and an enhanced thermal management solution is adopted, which improves energy efficiency by 49% compared to the previous generation.
The 9100 PRO can be installed in devices such as laptops, desktops, and game consoles. The version with a heat sink adopts an ultra-thin 8.8mm M.2 form factor, which can effectively control temperature and prevent overheating. It also complies with the PCI-SIG D8 standard and plans to launch an 8TB storage capacity specification in the second half of this year.
In addition, the 9100 PRO also supports Samsung Magician software, which enhances the functions of the 9100 PRO and all Samsung SSDs, simplifies the data transfer process for SSD upgrades, ensures data security, monitors hard drive health status, and provides real-time firmware update notifications.
9100 PRO預計4月上旬起於三星商城、PChome 24h購物、momo購物網、Yahoo奇摩購物中心、蝦皮三星儲存旗艦店等全台指定通路陸續上市，將推出1TB、2TB及4TB三種容量版本，建議售價分別為新台幣6369元、9559元，以及17509元，而包含散熱片版本，1TB、2TB及4TB容量規格建議售價分別為新台幣7029元、新台幣10219元，以及18169元。
