It also claims that through AI Hybrid composite cooling and intelligent energy-saving design, the refrigerator can be transformed into a "family smart butler" that intelligently preserves food.
AI touch screen, from food management to family interaction
The Bespoke AI Hybrid four-door flagship refrigerator features a 9-inch LCD touchscreen on the front, integrated with a graphical interface that displays weather and itinerary information in real time, as well as music playback and recipe search functions. Users can also use Samsung Smart View to mirror content from their phone or TV onto the refrigerator screen, turning the kitchen into a new space for entertainment and interaction. A dedicated photo album function allows users to play family photos at any time, adding to the atmosphere of life.
Users can also interact with the refrigerator through the Bixby digital assistant service, but the version currently sold in Taiwan still only corresponds to the English interactive interface and does not yet provide a Traditional Chinese option. Therefore, it may still be a bit inconvenient for Taiwanese users. After all, most interactions through voice control still require operating instructions in foreign languages such as English so that the refrigerator can "understand" the actual operating needs.
However, according to Samsung staff, if the Bixby digital assistant service interface is switched to Simplified Chinese, the refrigerator can actually still perform the function of opening the left and right doors. However, to achieve detailed operations such as identifying "today's weather conditions" and "opening videos on YouTube", it is still necessary to use the English interface to successfully identify and execute them.
Samsung currently says it is still preparing for the localization of the Bixby digital assistant service, but there is no specific launch schedule in Taiwan yet.
AI food detection and smart reminders
Samsung has introduced an AI-powered food detection camera into this refrigerator, capable of recognizing up to 37 types of fresh produce and 50 types of processed foods. While out shopping, users can remotely check the remaining ingredients in the refrigerator through the SmartThings app and even receive notifications before expiration dates, helping to prevent waste.
Samsung emphasized that the AI algorithm will automatically exclude images of hands and floors, and automatically mask portraits to ensure privacy is not affected.
As for ingredients that the refrigerator cannot successfully identify, or those that are only available in specific regions such as Taiwan, such as dragon fruit and bean curd, the corresponding information is not included in the built-in database of the refrigerator. Users can actually manually add specific ingredients so that the refrigerator can successfully record the storage time and remind users whether the ingredients have been left out for too long.
In addition, since the AI smart food detection camera is only installed in the upper refrigerated area, there is no camera in the frozen food storage area below. Therefore, if the user puts food in the frozen area, it basically needs to be manually registered to let the refrigerator know which food is stored.
AI Hybrid composite cooling and intelligent energy saving
In terms of freshness preservation technology, the Bespoke AI Hybrid utilizes an AI Hybrid composite cooling system with stainless steel locking cold plates for faster cooling and even temperature maintenance, extending food freshness. Its built-in AI intelligent energy-saving mode can reduce energy consumption by up to 10% based on usage habits and environmental conditions. To cater to different food ingredients, the refrigerator has three independent fresh-keeping compartments with dedicated temperature control modes for meat, fruits and vegetables, and beverages.
In addition, the UV filter effectively removes odors, ensuring that food retains its fresh flavor. These designs demonstrate that Samsung not only emphasizes AI intelligence, but also hopes that users will benefit from energy saving, convenience, and food management.
Space design and convenient experience
Bespoke AI Hybrid adopts the SpaceMax thin and narrow frame design, providing greater capacity without increasing the volume. It can be seamlessly embedded in the kitchen cabinet with only 0.4 cm of reserved space on the side and 2 cm on the top. It basically meets the design specifications of European built-in appliances and can be well matched with the system cabinet design. However, if it is to be used in an existing space, it may be necessary to consider whether the space is wide enough.
The refrigerator also has a built-in automatic ice-making function. No external water line is required. Ice-making can be completed by manually adding water, which meets the needs of modern families for convenience and space flexibility.
In addition, the left and right doors on the upper part of the Bespoke AI Hybrid also have a bottom-sensing opening function, allowing users to trigger the door opening with a single finger or by approaching with their elbows. This is convenient for when both hands are temporarily tied up (for example, when holding soup with both hands and opening the refrigerator door), the door can be opened conveniently, and can even be opened directly by voice control.
Listing in Taiwan and preferential policies
Samsung announced that its Bespoke AI Hybrid four-door flagship refrigerator is now available on Samsung Mall and select retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of NT$149,900. To celebrate the department store's anniversary, purchases of selected products from now until December 31st will receive various gifts or digital gift certificates. Purchases of this flagship refrigerator will also receive a complimentary Bespoke AI three-piece smart wardrobe, priced at NT$54900.
