Following the previous launch of a device that turns a television into a picture frameThe Frame Series,as well asBluetooth playback device called The Music FrameFollowing this, ahead of CES 2026, Samsung unveiled its new Wi-Fi speaker series—Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7. Continuing its design language of "integrating technology into the home," these speakers feature a minimalist, gallery-like style, transforming them from obtrusive black cubes into decorative pieces that seamlessly blend into living room décor. In addition, Samsung also updated its flagship soundbar lineup, enhancing the listening experience through AI technology.
Music Studio Series: Beautiful and Sounds Great
The newly launched Music Studio series comes in two models, both supporting Bluetooth and Wi-Fi streaming music playback and voice control.
• Music Studio 5:As an entry-level option, it features a 4-inch woofer and dual tweeters, along with built-in waveguide technology to enhance sound dispersion. For the bass, Samsung has incorporated a new AI Dynamic Bass Control, emphasizing a rich and distortion-free low-frequency performance.
• Music Studio 7:The advanced Music Studio 7 focuses on an immersive experience, featuring a 3.1.1 channel spatial audio system. Through drivers positioned at the top, front, and left and right sides, it creates a powerfully immersive 3D soundstage. Specifications include support for 24-bit/96kHz high-resolution audio processing, and it also features AI bass control and Samsung Audio Labs' Pattern Control Technology, which can be used independently or connected in series with other Samsung audio devices.
Soundbar lineup updated: All-in-one and flagship models evolve simultaneously.
In addition to its stylish speakers, Samsung has also launched two new soundbars targeting the home theater market:
• HW-QS90H (All-in-One Soundbar):This product is designed for users who don't want to use an external subwoofer. It features a 7.1.2 channel configuration and packs in as many as 13 drivers (including 9 full-range drivers). Its built-in Quad Bass Woofer system is said to provide deep bass without the need for an external subwoofer.
It is worth mentioning that the HW-QS90H has a "convertible fit" design similar to the previous QS700F. Whether wall-mounted or placed flat, the built-in gyroscope sensor will automatically detect the direction and adjust the channel output to ensure accurate sound positioning.
• HW-Q990H (Flagship Model):As the flagship of the year, the Q990H focuses on "AI tuning", with the addition of Sound Elevation function, which makes movie dialogue sound more natural (as if it is coming directly from the screen rather than below), and Auto Volume, which can balance the volume difference between different channels or scenes and avoid being startled by sudden explosions.
