LG also announced the launch of its first true wireless earphones earlierTone+ FreeIn addition to cooperating with Meridian Audio on audio technology, it also emphasizes adding ultraviolet sterilization function to the storage and carrying box.
According to LG, Tone+ Free will sterilize the earphones with ultraviolet light between uses, ensuring that the earphones remain clean the next time the user wears them.
LG added this design because it believes that earphones are accessories that marketers often use with mobile phones, including for listening to music, answering calls, or using voice assistant services. However, during use, they often ignore the possibility that earphones may become dirty during wearing, which may cause problems such as bacterial infection of the ears in the long run.
However, LG hasn't clarified whether adding the UV sterilization feature will affect the earbuds' battery life. Based on currently released data, the Tone+ Free boasts up to six hours of battery life on a single charge, and with the included carrying case, it can be charged for about an hour in just five minutes.
As for the sound technology, LG still cooperates with Meridian Audio to provide delicate sound performance.Maintain long-term cooperative relationships.
Tone+ Free is expected to be available in black and white. The black model will be launched on October 10, and the white model will be launched in November. The suggested retail price is 28 won (about NT$11).
