Many times beforePreheatLater, Samsung officially announced that it will hold the Galaxy Unpacked conference in Brooklyn, New York on July 7th, Eastern Time, for the second half of this year. The conference will unveil the next-generation flagship device that combines Galaxy AI technology with brand-new hardware design, and will use "The Ultra Experience Is Ready To Unfold" as the main theme of the conference, hinting that the Galaxy Z series of foldable screen phones will have a major upgrade.
In addition, the preview video suggests that there will be two mobile phones on the market, which is expected to be the same as the previous rumors.Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7However, it is not yet confirmed whether the "Ultra" specification model will be announced at the press conference, or whether the three-screen folding phone that has also been rumored will be unveiled.
According to previous rumors, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is expected to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, the internal screen will be increased to 8.2 inches, the screen display ratio will become wider, the border may be only 1mm, and the crease in the middle of the screen will be made less obvious. It will also support the new S Pen, and the main camera system will use the same 25-megapixel photosensitive element as the Galaxy S2 Ultra. The battery capacity seems to remain at 4400mAh and supports 25W fast charging.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 obviously adopts a thinner body design than previous models, so the main camera module becomes more protruding. At the same time, the width of the single side of the body seems to be wider than previous models. Perhaps the user experience of the new phone will be closer to the general mobile phone operation experience after folding, and it will no longer become "narrow and long". In addition, the internal screen display size can be further enlarged.
In the Galaxy Z Flip7, the biggest change is obviously the change of the external screen to a hole-punch design similar to the Motorola Razr series, which allows the screen display to be larger, but the UI interface obviously also needs to be redesigned. At the same time, the thickness of the body seems to have become thinner, but the thickness change is obviously not as great as the Galaxy Z Fold7.
Samsung stated that as AI becomes a mainstream user interface, it not only changes the way people interact with smart devices, but also allows devices to evolve from passive responses to intelligent partners that can instantly understand user intent and proactively respond. This shift also means that the role of smartphones is evolving from a mere tool to a true intelligent assistant.
Galaxy Unpacked 2025 will be live-streamed simultaneously on Samsung's official website, Samsung Newsroom, and official YouTube channel at 7:9 PM Taiwan time on July 10th.
