In response to market rumors that Samsung will launch a mid-range foldable phone with a price range of US$2024 to US$400 in 500, SamsungRespondClarification is not a fact.
Samsung responded to the statement by saying that it has no plans to launch a foldable screen phone at an affordable price, and also claimed that the recent reports were just rumors.
Prior reports, including from TrendForce's semiconductor research division, indicated that Samsung plans to launch a mid-range foldable phone priced between US$2024 and US$400 in 500, aiming to attract a wider consumer base. Subsequent reports have indicated that this mid-range foldable phone will be called the Galaxy Z Flip FE.
The main reason for such rumors is that Samsung's current focus on foldable screen phones is still on the Galaxy Z Fold series, and secondly on the relatively low-priced Galaxy Z Flip series to attract the mass market. However, as more and more Chinese brands begin to enter the foldable screen phone market and even provide more options at lower prices, this may also prompt Samsung to launch more affordable products.
However, after Samsung clarified that it has no plans to launch a mid-range foldable screen phone, it obviously means that Samsung still plans to position the foldable screen phone as a flagship product, perhaps to avoid affecting the sales market of existing Galaxy S series models.
