Before the start of CES 2025, Samsung unveiled 3D audio technology called Eclipsa Audio, a collaboration with Google, and applied it to its 2025 TVs and soundbars.
This 3D audio technology, developed in collaboration with Google, boasts the ability to interpret immersive dynamic audio content, allowing users to have a more immersive sound experience.
Eclipsa Audio claims to allow video creators to adjust audio data, such as the direction, intensity, and spatial reflection effects of sound, to create an immersive three-dimensional sound field experience.
This audio technology will be integrated into Samsung's Crystal UHD series, launching in 2025, as well as models larger than 8 inches, including the high-end flagship Neo QLED 75K series, allowing more consumers to experience a more immersive audio-visual viewing experience through this audio technology.
To attract more people to use Eclipsa Audio technology, in addition to leveraging Samsung's large user base of TV products, Google will allow creators to upload video content that supports this audio technology to YouTube services starting in 2025 and play it through Samsung TV products.
In addition, Samsung and Google will also work with the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) to promote the Eclipsa Audio audio technology certification program, allowing more audio and video equipment to obtain Eclipsa Audio audio technology certification through this program and attracting more brands to join in supporting this audio technology.
