In the official announcementGalaxy S25 series flagship phone of the yearPreviously, Samsung announcedAdjusting its Galaxy Trade-In program, will allow consumers to trade in select Galaxy brand models at any time throughout the year, and will not be limited to purchasing only the upcoming flagship phones.
Prior to this, Samsung's trade-in plan was only available when booking a new phone through the Samsung official website or App. At the same time, applications were only open before the new phone was about to be launched or during the promotion period for the new phone, such as the upcoming Galaxy S25 series flagship phone.
The adjustment made by Samsung this time is to allow the trade-in plan to be selected at any time throughout the year. At the same time, the trade-in process is not limited to purchasing the flagship mobile phones that are about to be announced, but other Samsung products can be selected.
As for the models that can be traded in, they are currently limited to the Galaxy S20 series to Galaxy S24 series, or the Galaxy Z Flip3 to Galaxy Z Flip5, and the Galaxy Z Fold3 to Galaxy Z Fold5. Specific Apple models are also included, but it is obviously not possible to trade in the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip6, and Galaxy Z Fold6 launched last year.
Currently, the new trade-in program will be offered first in the Korean and French markets, and will be operated by Likewize, a Samsung partner that provides product warranty, repair, trade-in, recycling and other services.
