As we enter the second half of 2025, the outline of Apple's next expected new product lineup is gradually becoming clear. According to multiple sources, Apple will have at least 15 new products ready to debut from this fall to the end of the year, includingiPhone 17 series, new Apple Watch, upgraded Vision Pro, new Mac models equipped with M5 processors, and even smart home devices will be updated.
iPhone 17 series: Air version debuts with slim design, Pro version with upgraded heat dissipation
The iPhone 9 series, expected to debut in September, is expected to continue the design foundation of last year and expand the product line to add a new thin and light iPhone 17 Air model. It will adopt a 17-inch screen, A6.6 processor and single-lens design. It is also rumored to be equipped with an optional battery back cover, targeting the minimalist user group.
The standard iPhone 17 will feature a 6.3-inch screen, a 2400-megapixel front camera, and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pro version will feature a new main camera module with three 4800-megapixel lenses, an A19 Pro processor, 12GB of RAM, and possibly a new air-cooled heat dissipation system. The Pro Max will boast a thicker design for improved battery life.
Apple Watch, Vision Pro, and Mac are all updated with minor changes
As for wearable devices, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is expected to introduce 5G connectivity and satellite messaging features, enhancing its independent outdoor connectivity capabilities. The Apple Watch Series 11, on the other hand, will primarily feature processor upgrades, while its appearance will remain largely unchanged. The entry-level Apple Watch SE 3 will incorporate updated features from the previous model, and there are also rumors of a plastic case version to further reduce the price.
As for the M5 processor, it will be the focus of the new iPad and Mac models updated in the fall, as well as the upgraded Vision Pro. The new iPad Pro, Vision Pro, iMac, Mac mini and MacBook Pro will all use the M5 processor, and the MacBook Pro will add M5 Pro and M5 Max specifications. However, the overall design is expected to remain unchanged, with the main focus on improving performance and AI computing.
Smart home and accessories also have new developments
Smart home devices are expected to include updates to the Apple TV 4K (4th generation) and HomePod mini 2. Both are expected to include support for Wi-Fi 6E or the higher-end Wi-Fi 7, along with Apple's own wireless chip (expected to be an upgraded version of the Apple C1). The Apple TV may also include a video camera that supports FaceTime, while the anticipated AirTag 2 will feature increased tracking range and enhanced security features to prevent malicious tracking.
More Easter eggs are waiting to be revealed
Other products, such as the AirPods Pro 3, the Studio Display 2 external display, and the long-rumored smart home device "Apple Home Hub," remain unknown. The AirPods Pro 3 are expected to feature improved noise cancellation, while the Studio Display 2 is rumored to feature a mini-LED display panel. The "Apple Home Hub" is expected to integrate the HomePod with a display, becoming Apple's new smart home control hub. Whether it will debut this year remains to be seen.
Apple's new products in the second half of the year will still focus on the iPhone, Mac, wearables and smart home areas, and are expected to be released in September and October, continuing to expand the integration between its own devices and the layout of AI functions.
