The report stated that Apple and Microsoft's subsequent adjustment of their practices may be related to the recent investigations by US regulators and EU antitrust agencies into whether large technology companies constitute a market monopoly, especially the investigation into Microsoft's large investment in OpenAI. Therefore, the adjustment of the original practice of arranging observers with no actual voting rights may also be an attempt to avoid unnecessary suspicion.
As a response, OpenAI may switch to holding regular meetings and discussing information and development matters with partners and investors to avoid previous gaps in communication of internal operational details and even information opacity.
Currently, the cooperation between Apple and Open AI does not involve any financial transactions, but Apple seems to be planning toApple Intelligence serviceSubscription revenue from accompanying services such as ChatGPT Plus is included as part of the revenue.
