Dan Houser, co-founder and former creative director of Rockstar Games, recently announced the establishment of a new creative company, Absurd Ventures, which will build content beyond video games on various platforms.
Dan Houser left Rockstar Games in 2020 and subsequently founded Absurd Ventures, which will focus on creating various stories, characters and other content, and is expected to be used in live-action performances or animation works. Others also include interactive content such as video games, as well as books, graphic novels or podcasts.
Dan Houser co-founded Rockstar Games with Sam Houser, Jamie King, Terry Donovan and Gary Foreman, and served as creative director, responsible for writing the screenplay for every Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption game. He also provided voice acting in Grand Theft Auto III and related expansions.
When many players were looking forward to Rockstar Games launching "Grand Theft Auto VI", Dan Houser's announcement of his departure also made many players worry whether the new game could not be launched smoothly.
