Roborock F25 Ultra Real-World Test: Steam + Hot Water Dual-Effect Floor Cleaning, Restoring the Comfort of Barefoot Walking on the Floor
Relying solely on robot vacuums or handheld vacuum cleaners is often insufficient.

For most families, the problem with floor cleaning is often not the dust, but the "sticky feeling that can be felt underfoot." Daily sweeping and mopping may solve the visible dirt, but when it comes to kitchen grease, spilled juice from children, or the sticky feeling left by sweaty feet and moisture, robot vacuums or handheld vacuums are often not enough.

▲Roborock F25 Ultra

Only after actually experiencing the Roborock F25 Ultra did I truly understand what it means to be "clean enough to be stepped on".

Limitations of a single tool

Most households typically only have one or two types of cleaning tools:

• Robotic vacuum cleaners (such as the Ecovacs DEEBOT X8 Pro Omni that I use at home):It can easily handle dust, hair, or everyday dirt when sweeping and mopping every day, but it often just "wipes over" sticky oil stains. After mopping, you can still step on a layer of oil film. Therefore, it is more suitable for maintaining floor cleanliness under normal circumstances.

• Handheld vacuum cleaners (such as the Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine that I currently use):It is flexible and convenient, and can clean up food crumbs that have fallen into sofa gaps, stairs, under tables, or small areas, but large areas of sticky stains still require manual mopping.

Therefore, even with daily cleaning, many families may still find their floors sticky and uncomfortable to walk on. The F25 Ultra's steam + hot water dual-effect cleaning system perfectly fills this gap, upgrading floors from "looking clean" to "feeling comfortable underfoot."

▲Technological home cleaning tools: robot vacuums and mops, handheld cordless vacuum cleaners, and the floor scrubber that we'll focus on here.

VaporFlow steam + WaveFlow hot wash: A direct experience of deep cleaning

The core technologies of the F25 Ultra include VaporFlow high-temperature steam and WaveFlow high-temperature live water:

• 150°C steam:It quickly softens dried juice, sauces, or mud stains from shoe soles, easily removing even hardened stains. The high-temperature steam also sterilizes and kills mites, achieving a 99.9999% sterilization rate, making it safer for families with crawling and playing children.

• 86°C live water heated slingshot:The effects of mopping with hot water are very noticeable. Oily film commonly found in the kitchen and the sticky feeling after dampness in the living room are easier to remove after being penetrated by hot, running water. There is a noticeable "scrubbing" sensation when mopping, and the floor feels dry and comfortable to walk on barefoot after mopping, without any sticky residue.

In actual testing, steam softens stubborn stains first, and hot water then cleans them thoroughly. The combination of the two greatly improves cleaning efficiency, eliminating the need for repeated mopping and making the entire cleaning process more time-saving and labor-saving.

▲The overall user experience of the floor mopping robot is like that of a mop that "leads you," but it can still easily change its cleaning direction with a little effort, and can even achieve back-and-forth mopping and wiping effects.
▲The 180-degree reclining design allows the floor scrubber to reach under sofas and clean floors that are normally difficult to clean.
▲The F25 Ultra's water tank can be filled with suitable cleaning agents to enhance floor cleaning performance. However, it is recommended to use a dedicated cleaning agent to avoid damaging the internal pipes of the floor scrubber.
▲The floor scrubber itself features a square contact surface design, making it easy to reach into corners and edges. It can also be moved with the help of rear rollers, making the process of use effortless.
▲The actual operation interface only has a power switch in the middle, a cleaning mode switch at the top, and a button at the bottom for automatic cleaning when placed on the charging dock.
▲The cleaning modes are divided into four scenarios: automatic, steam, hot water, and water suction, to meet different cleaning needs.

Convenience of daily operation

In addition to its cleaning power, the F25 Ultra also performs well in terms of ease of use:

• Hair-tangle-free roller brush:If you have pets or long hair at home, you no longer need to manually disassemble the brush after each cleaning, maintaining mopping efficiency.

▲The F25 Ultra's bottom structure features a front-mounted roller brush and a square body design, along with features to prevent hair tangling, making floor cleaning more efficient.
▲The roller brush can be easily disassembled and cleaned.

• Easy-to-disassemble and clean water tank and module:The water and wastewater tanks are designed intuitively, easy to assemble and disassemble, and require no extra tools for cleaning, making them very user-friendly for busy families.

▲The water tank can be easily disassembled.
▲The wastewater tank can also be easily disassembled. It is recommended to disassemble and empty the wastewater after each floor cleaning to prevent it from becoming smelly after being left for a long time.
▲When emptying wastewater, the floor scrubber can also absorb hair during the cleaning process.

• Smart monitoring via app:You can check the cleaning progress, water volume, and consumable status via your mobile phone, so you can monitor the machine's operation even when you are not at home.

▲You can check the status of the F25 Ultra, including charging progress, or set cleaning modes through the Roborock App. You can also arrange whether to automatically clean while charging.
▲Through the app, you can also adjust the suction power and water volume for different cleaning modes, and even adjust the auxiliary power of the floor cleaner.

• Automatic washing and drying:After mopping, the F25 Ultra can steam clean the roller brush and then dry it with 95°C hot air, effectively preventing odors and mold growth. This feature is especially useful for families with pets, preventing hair and wastewater residue from causing odors.

▲In addition to serving as a charging dock and a place to put the machine, the charging dock can also assist the floor scrubber in cleaning and drying, preventing the roller brush from developing odors or mold.

These designs make the cleaning process easier from start to finish, and the user experience is closer to everyday family life.

Division of labor: Robotic vacuum cleaner + handheld vacuum cleaner + F25 Ultra

From a home use perspective, the F25 Ultra is best suited for the "last step in deep cleaning":

• Sweeping robot:It is responsible for keeping the area clean by removing daily dust, hair, and small amounts of dirt.

• Handheld vacuum cleaner:It can handle dead corners and small debris in sofa crevices, stairs, or under furniture, and even clean up sudden dirt situations in a more mobile manner.

• F25 Ultra:Treat stubborn stains, oil films, and sticky floors, truly restoring the comfort of walking barefoot.

This division of labor not only makes cleaning more thorough, but also significantly reduces the frequency and workload of daily mopping.

Real-world experience: The key is the feeling of walking barefoot.

The most impressive thing about using the F25 Ultra is the feeling of walking barefoot on the floor. In the past, even after mopping the floor, there would still be an oily film or a damp, sticky feeling when you stepped on it; but after mopping with the F25 Ultra, the floor felt dry to the touch and comfortable to walk on without any stickiness.

The hair-free tangling and easy-to-clean design significantly reduces friction during use, eliminating the need for households with cats and dogs to clean the roller brush after each cleaning session. App monitoring and automatic cleaning functions further simplify post-cleaning maintenance, eliminating concerns about odors or mold growth.

Conclusion: The Last Mile of Floor Cleaning

For most families, robot vacuums and handheld vacuums are sufficient to maintain daily cleanliness, but they are often insufficient for truly barefoot, comfortable floors. The F25 Ultra fills in this last mile of cleaning needs with its dual-effect steam and hot water mopping, which combines zero tangling, easy disassembly and cleaning, and automatic cleaning.

The ideal combination for daily cleaning is: a robot vacuum cleaner for routine cleaning, a handheld vacuum cleaner for corners and small areas, and for more mobile cleaning needs, while the F25 Ultra plays a key role in "deep cleaning", making the floor truly clean and non-sticky, and making the home environment more hygienic and comfortable.

Overall, the F25 Ultra is not just a mopping machine, but a "deep cleaning tool" designed to address everyday household pain points. It is definitely worth investing in for families who want to walk barefoot freely and avoid stickiness and odors.

▲Strictly speaking, it's best to have three devices at home: a robot vacuum cleaner, a handheld vacuum cleaner, and a floor scrubber, to meet different floor cleaning needs.
