Although many businesses emphasize that the introduction of automatic artificial intelligence can improve work efficiency and reduce work costs, Upwork, the world's largest freelance matching platform,Investigations, obviously there are different opinions.

A survey conducted by Upwork's research institute shows that many companies have high expectations for using automatically generated artificial intelligence tools to improve work productivity. About 96% of CEO-level managers hope to improve the company's overall productivity through artificial intelligence technology. About 39% of companies require employees to use artificial intelligence tools, and about 46% of companies encourage employees to try using artificial intelligence tools to improve work productivity.
However, about 47% of employees said they did not know how to use AI tools to achieve their supervisors' desired work productivity goals, and even 77% of employees said that AI tools actually reduced their work efficiency.
The reasons include that employees have to spend more time reviewing the content generated by AI tools, they also need to spend more time learning how to use new tools, and they may even be asked to complete more work as the company introduces AI tools.

On the other hand, approximately 40% of employees stated that after companies introduce AI tools, they typically set more work goals for employees based on the expectation of improving overall work productivity. However, only 26% of companies will assist employees in relevant new technology application training programs, which means that more employees actually have to spend time learning to use new tools on their own, and they also have to spend more time confirming whether the content generated by AI tools is incorrect.
Therefore, Upwork believes that in addition to introducing artificial intelligence tools, corporate executives must consider striking a balance between previous work models and the application of new technologies. At the same time, they must also help employees become familiar with new technologies and establish new productivity measurement standards, rather than simply relying on the expected ability of new technologies to drive work productivity. Otherwise, it may cause greater pressure on employees and lead to work burnout.
Many corporate executives are also gradually considering outsourcing specific work projects to reduce the overall workload of full-time employees. At the same time, they can also leverage the professional skills of outsourced personnel to improve work quality and cooperate better within the company to achieve a balance between quality and efficiency.
