Related news indicates that Apple has been working with Samsung and LG to create "borderless" display screens for iPhone models, but it has not yet reached the mass production stage.

Apple aims to maintain a flat display design, with only slight bends at the edges to prevent distortion. While many Chinese brands have already achieved extremely narrow screen sizes, many still use curved designs to create a "borderless" visual experience. However, achieving even narrower bezels while remaining nearly flat remains challenging.

Samsung and LG, which are currently cooperating with Apple, are not yet able to achieve this "borderless" display design. Therefore, Apple's original plan to launch an iPhone model with this screen design in 2025 or 2026 may have to wait until 2027 to make its debut.

In addition to the "borderless" design of the display screen, recent rumors have also claimed that Apple will launchA new phone called "iPhone 17 Air"It is expected to adopt a design with a thickness of less than 8mm, and will reduce production costs by simplifying the camera system, so that its final selling price can be lower than that of the Pro series models.

If the price of iPhone 17 Pro remains the same as that of iPhone 16 Pro, it means that the price of "iPhone 17 Air" may be US$899, maintaining the same price as iPhone 16 Plus. It also fits with previous news that "iPhone 17 Air" will directly replace the Plus model.
