Bloomberg News reporter Mark Gurman in the new issue of the "Power On" columndisplayApple has invested in developing at least three virtual vision headsets internally, one of which will be launched under the name "Apple Reality Pro".
The three virtual reality headsets under development are codenamed "N301," "N602," and "N421" for internal development use. "N301" is the virtual reality headset that will be launched under the name "Apple Reality Pro," and is expected to be a high-end product corresponding to the positioning of Quest Pro.
As for the "N602", it will be the successor to the "N301", and the "N421" may be a head-mounted device mainly for augmented reality applications. However, both devices are expected to have to wait for some time before they are released. The "N301" may be launched as early as 2023, mainly to meet the needs of the advanced commercial market. At the same time, the price will be relatively high, around US$3000.
Prior to this, Apple had already commissioned external companies toApplicationIncluding trademark names such as "Reality Pro", "Reality One", and "Reality Processor", plus there have been rumors in the past that Apple is working on creating an operating system called "RealityOS", it seems that the virtual visual headset that Apple is about to launch will use a name related to "Reality".
However, Apple has not yet disclosed whether it will invest in the development of a virtual vision headset. The market currently speculates that Apple will announce this product as early as early next year.
