According to Bloomberg News reporter Mark Gurman,The latest "Power On" column statesApple retail store employees are being asked to prepare for an "overnight refresh" on the evening of November 11th (US time), implying new developments on November 12th. However, Mark Gurman believes that expectations for an immediate unveiling of new hardware should not be too high.
Perhaps it's just a holiday decoration update; the key is the new version of Siri launching next year.
The market previously anticipated that Apple might update Apple TV and HomePod mini before the end of the year, especially given the "increasingly tight" inventory of these two products, which is usually a "signal" of an upcoming new product launch. However, Mark Gurman offered a contrasting argument, suggesting that the November 12th store update is "more likely" to be a visual merchandising adjustment in preparation for the holiday shopping season, rather than a new product launch.
Secondly, Apple CEO Tim Cook last weekearnings conference"We are excited to share our most extraordinary product lineup as we head into the holiday season," Zhong Caigang said. Mark Gurman interpreted this statement as "Apple has now completed its product lineup for this year," implying that the recently announced new MacBook Pro with the updated M5 processor is the grand finale product for 2025.
However, Mark Gurman also left room for flexibility, suggesting that Tim Cook's comments might only refer to products like the Mac and iPad, which contribute significantly to Apple's revenue. Since Apple TV and HomePod mini have a relatively small impact on Apple's overall revenue, Tim Cook may not have included their revenue in his calculations.
Mark Gurman concluded that even if these two products fail to be unveiled before the end of the year, they are expected to be updated in the near future, because Apple TV and HomePod mini are considered to be "key hardware" to help showcase the new Siri and Apple Intelligence features in 2026, and therefore will inevitably be updated before the official launch of the new AI features next year.
2026 will be a "critical year": Macs equipped with M5 and M6 processors, foldable iPhones, and new self-developed data chips will all be released.
Compared to the uncertainties at the end of 2025, Mark Gurman believes that 2026 will be Apple's "most critical year" in recent years, facing multiple challenges such as the full-scale rollout of Apple Intelligence technology, regulatory pressure on the App Store, and the risk of new tariffs. At the same time, it will also see the release of at least 15 new products, as follows:
