Bloomberg News reporter Mark Gurman recently revealed that Apple will increaseMore advertising space, thereby increasing revenue from advertising content exposure, it was earlier revealed that the Apple Maps service on the iPhone will add advertising content as early as next year.
However, compared to adding more banner ads to the App Store, the "advertising content" expected to be added to Apple Maps will focus on search results. For example, brand owners can pay Apple to allow users to search by keyword so that results matching the brand's keywords are prioritized.
Similar practices include Google's map services such as Google Maps, Waze and Yelp, which have already provided similar advertising services, allowing brand owners to increase brand exposure by paying fees.
In addition to the App Store and Apple Maps, Apple may add more advertising exposure opportunities to its own app content. Combined with the current number of iPhone users worldwide, this will drive lucrative advertising revenue sharing. However, whether it will be criticized for affecting the user experience with advertising content will obviously depend on how Apple strikes the right balance.
