Razer earlier announced the launch of the BlackWidow V65 Mini HyperSpeed, a 3% mechanical keyboard that can be used with wireless connection. It also updated several keyboard-related upgrade kits, allowing users to replace keyboard keycaps, cables and keyboard wrist rest accessories according to their needs.
Among them, the BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed adopts a 65% arrangement design and uses Razer HyperSpeed connection technology, which can correspond to faster wireless connection, Bluetooth connection, and USB-C wired connection, allowing users to switch between different connection methods according to their needs.
The key switches are also divided into Razer Green switches, which are similar to Cherry MX Blue switches, and Razer Yellow switches, which are similar to Cherry MX Brown switches. The keycaps adopt a double-layer injection design and are advertised as highly wear-resistant. The surface of the keycaps will appear completely black when the backlight is not turned on. The corresponding characters on the keycaps can only be viewed when the backlight is turned on. The built-in battery allows users to use it for more than 200 hours when connected to Bluetooth.
What's special this time is that Razer is also offering a replacement kit called Razer Phantom, which contains a total of 128 sets of keycaps. The kit features a transparent lower half of the keycaps, which increases the backlight brightness. It can be used with the newly released BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed or previously released keyboard products. This time, Razer is even directly launching the BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed with Razer Phantom keycaps, allowing users to purchase it directly.
Additionally, Razer is simultaneously releasing a PBT plastic keycap kit, available in four colors: Razer green, black, white, and pink, for a total of 120 keycaps. This kit comes with a USB-C to USB-A braided cable with a coiled design. These four color options allow users to create different color combinations on their keyboard.
Others include a wrist rest accessory for long-term keyboard use, and a rubber pad at the bottom to prevent slipping.
In terms of suggested retail price, the new BlackWidow V3 Mini HyperSpeed will be sold at US$199, while the Razer Phantom keycap kit in black and white will be sold at US$34.99. The keycap kit made of PBT plastic and distinguished in 4 colors, plus the connecting cable, is priced at US$49.99. As for the wrist rest accessory, it is sold at US$19.99.
