Following the previously launched Seiren series of professional microphones, Razer recently announced the release of a Seiren Emote with a fun on-screen display. This emote can be synced with Twitch or Mixer live streaming services. Once someone subscribes or donates, the emote will be linked to the microphone screen and display a designated image. It can even be linked to Razer's Chroma-enabled colorful lighting effects to create more interactive effects.
On the outside of the Seiren Emote, Razer uses an 8 x 8 LED array that supports RGB color display to form a screen. When someone subscribes to the user's audio and video channel, or presses "Fight Inside" during live broadcast content, the screen will display a default image and an 8-bit dot image.
Seiren Emote also features a built-in anti-collision module to prevent the microphone from being accidentally bumped or knocked over, creating loud noises. Furthermore, the microphone's angle can be adjusted using a curved bracket, allowing users to use it at a convenient angle or allowing viewers to better see the image displayed on the external screen. It can also be connected to Razer's Chroma-enabled multi-color lighting devices to create even more audio and visual effects for live broadcasts.
Seiren Emote is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of this year at a price of US$180. It is mainly designed to meet the needs of the entry-level and affordable live streaming market. Therefore, the overall sound quality is obviously inferior to the previously launched professional version of Seiren.
