Razer today (July 7) announced the DeathAdder V10 Pro, a new generation of its classic mouse. This marks the 4th design since its introduction in 2006, and it pioneers Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-36, a new generation of low-latency wireless connection technology. This technology boasts 2% lower latency and 37% lower power consumption, while maintaining a stable connection at up to 63Hz polling rates and boasting up to 8000 hours of use at 1000Hz.
Razer explains that the DeathAdder V4 Pro was developed in collaboration with several top esports athletes, notably Counter-Strike legend and new Team Razer member Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, who has been using an early prototype of the mouse in competition since January of this year, receiving immediate feedback on the mouse's weight, button feel, and overall controllability. Kovač even visited the company's Singapore R&D center to engage in in-depth discussions with engineers to ensure the design met the demands of the pro arena.
To coincide with the introduction of the next-generation wireless connection technology, the DeathAdder V4 Pro is equipped with a new wireless connector and its appearance has been changed from the previous long ladder-shaped design to a hemispherical shape. This is mainly to accommodate the new wireless connection transmission antenna. Anti-slip rubber and a weighted design are added to the bottom to keep the wireless connector stable on the desktop.
When set to a polling rate of up to 8000Hz, Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 technology can reduce the average latency to approximately 0.291 milliseconds, which is significantly faster than the previous generation's latency of 0.461 milliseconds, meaning users can operate at a faster speed when using the DeathAdder V4 Pro.
In addition, the lights on the front of the new wireless connector also indicate the connection status, battery level and polling rate setting value, and use different lights to indicate individual status. As for the polling rate, it is preset to 1000Hz, the minimum can be set to 125Hz, and the maximum can correspond to 8000Hz.
The DeathAdder V4 Pro is also equipped with the Razer Focus Pro 45K Gen-2 optical sensor, which can achieve 45000 DPI, 900 IPS and 85G acceleration performance. It can also be used with Razer Synapse software settings such as dynamic sensitivity, mouse rotation detection, sensitivity matching, etc. to meet e-sports event specifications or user preferences.
Razer also introduced its own developed optical scroll wheel technology for the first time in this mouse, which boasts three times the durability and clearer step feedback. It is also equipped with fourth-generation optical micro switches to provide a crisper and more durable left and right button click feel, with a service life of over 1 million times.
The DeathAdder V4 Pro weighs just 56 grams in black, and 57 grams in white, making it the lightest wireless mouse ever. The mouse maintains its classic right-handed ergonomic design, optimized for feel, weight distribution, and smooth gliding. A large PTFE glide pad ensures smoother mouse movement, and the side buttons are discrete to reduce the risk of accidental clicks.
In terms of environmental protection, Razer boasts that more than 67% of the parts of this mouse are made of bio-based or recycled plastics. The internal structure strikes a balance between lightness and sturdiness, and the sides are also specially reinforced, taking into account both durability and lightness.
The DeathAdder V4 Pro is now available for sale, with a suggested retail price starting at NT$6290.
