OnComputex 2025 KeynoteAfterward, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon said in an interview that the company is currently unable to share specific details about its partnership with NVIDIA, which aims to return to the server market through its NVLink Fusion semi-customized AI infrastructure solution. He emphasized that the relevant teams are currently accelerating their research and development efforts and expect to share relevant news soon.

Collaboration with NVIDIA will drive greater product design flexibility

Regarding the NVLink Fusion semi-customizable AI infrastructure solution, Cristiano Amon stated that this solution provides greater design flexibility while also allowing Qualcomm to further expand its competitive position in the computing market.

At the same time, Cristiano Amon also emphasized that Qualcomm will continue to invest in the research and development of its own Oryon architecture, and will continue to pursue high-performance, low-power computing platform design with Qualcomm's DNA. This will continue to promote its own market layout in mobile devices, smart glasses, vehicles and the Internet of Things, while also continuing to expand growth in the PC market.

Regarding the development of the PC market, Cristiano Amon stated that the company will continue to expand its presence in this market. He also explained that the original plan was to increase the market share of Windows on Snapdragon products to 2029% by 12. However, it has already achieved a market share of around 9% in the US and European markets. This shows that the new architecture and continued close cooperation with Microsoft have made PC devices using Snapdragon X series processors very attractive to users.

However, regarding the development of artificial intelligence technology applications, Cristiano Amon said that Qualcomm's own role will be to help more artificial intelligence application services be successfully used on its computing platform, thereby creating a new AI PC user experience.

Maintain cooperation with Taiwan's industrial supply chain and emphasize that the cooperative relationship with Xiaomi remains unchanged

Regarding partnerships and industry supply chain collaborations, Cristiano Amon emphasized that Qualcomm and Taiwan have a very deep industry supply chain relationship. Qualcomm has also continued to invest deeply in Taiwan and collaborate with more industry supply chains.

As for the recent U.S. courtQualcomm's authorization is valid, believing that its practice is legitimate, Cristiano Amon also reiterated that its instruction set usage license is completely legal, and stated that it will continue to build its processor products based on the Arm instruction set architecture.

In addition, Xiaomi recently announced that it will launch a new customized processor"Xuan Ring 01" (XRING 01), Cristiano Amon explained that Xiaomi is still an important customer of Qualcomm, and the two parties will continue to cooperate on processor products. Just like Samsung, although it also develops its own Exynos processor, it still maintains in-depth cooperation with Qualcomm. Therefore, it is expected that the cooperation relationship with Xiaomi will not be affected.
