Before Computex 2025, Qualcomm announced its new mid-to-high-end processors.Snapdragon 7 Gen4, mainly aimed at improving artificial intelligence computing performance by 65%, allowing more mobile phones to run generative artificial intelligence services on the device side.
The first wave of mobile phone brands to adopt this processor include Honor, vivo and realme, and related products are expected to be launched at the end of May this year.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is built using a 4nm process and still features a Kryo architecture CPU with a "1+4+3" core configuration. The main core (Prime Core) operates at a 2.8GHz clock speed, while four other cores operate at 4GHz, paired with three energy-saving cores operating at 2.4GHz. It also integrates an Adreno GPU designed for Elite Gaming.
Compared to the previous generation, Qualcomm boasts that the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 has a 27% increase in CPU performance, a 30% increase in GPU performance, and a 65% increase in NPU performance, and can generate images using Stable Diffusion 1.5 in seconds.
In terms of connectivity, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 supports display panels with WQHD+ resolution and a maximum 144Hz refresh rate, supports USB 3.1 ports, and complies with the 3G network specifications of 17GPP Release 5, providing a maximum network download speed of 4.2Gbps. It also integrates the Fastconnect mobile connection platform that supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, supports Bluetooth channel detection technology that can be used to identify devices such as Bluetooth positioning devices, and XPAN technology that can use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to expand the connection distance and audio transmission rate of wireless headphones.
相機功能則是採用3組12位元的Spectra影像處理器,在單一鏡頭配置情況下可對應2億畫素感光元件,並且可在6400萬畫素規格實現零延遲快門操作,而雙鏡頭配置則可在使用3200萬畫素與2100萬畫素組合實現零延遲快門操作,三鏡頭配置時則可支援全數為2100萬畫素組合的零延遲快門操作,至於影片拍攝部分則支援4K 30p或1080p 120p規格。
