Qualcomm proposed a portfolio of industrial IoT applications at the end of February this yearNew brand "Dragonwing", boasting of adding more innovative industrial IoT applications based on the Snapdragon brand, thereby helping more companies improve operational efficiency and accelerate time-to-market. In the Taiwanese market, Qualcomm announced the provision of Traditional Chinese interface resources for the developer community, allowing local developers to create application services using the Qualcomm AI Hub interface and related technical resources.

Qualcomm also announced the introduction of the TAIDE large-scale natural language model, based on Llama 3 and developed by the National Research Institute of Taiwan under the guidance of the National Science Council of Taiwan, into the Qualcomm AI Hub interface. This model is claimed to enable developers to create more responsible artificial intelligence applications and services that are in line with Taiwan's local language, customs and culture.

Qualcomm also stated that it is collaborating with various Taiwanese supply chains to promote smart IoT applications. The company plans to collaborate with companies such as Advantech, Aetina, AVerMedia, Axiomtek, CipherLab, CRI, DFI, IBASE, Innodisk, LITE-ON, MiTwell, Pegatron, Sysgration, Wistron, and WNC to showcase solutions utilizing the Dragonwing platform during the upcoming AI EXPO.
Qualcomm explained that it has been driving a revolution in various connected devices, such as mobile phones, always-connected laptops, in-vehicle systems, and even the smart Internet of Things that the market is actively promoting. It also emphasized that edge computing will further drive the growth of greater artificial intelligence applications. Therefore, it hopes to bring the artificial intelligence computing capabilities commonly used in terminal devices to the smart Internet of Things, thereby accelerating the development of more edge artificial intelligence technologies.

Compared to previous IoT devices that required an internet connection to utilize various AI technologies, currently, automatically generated AI technologies are becoming increasingly popular. They can also use data optimization and distillation to make model sizes smaller, and can even maintain operation offline. Furthermore, AI can accelerate the computing efficiency of terminal devices, thereby creating more human-computer interaction experiences.
