In his Computex 2025 keynote speech, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon explained that at Computex 2024 the previous year, there were only 22 laptop models using Qualcomm PC-grade processors. This year, the number has increased to over 85, covering a wide range of computing needs. He also stated that Qualcomm will continue to collaborate with Microsoft to expand the software and gaming application ecosystem for Windows on Snapdragon, and that the reliability of Windows on Snapdragon in the commercial field will be enhanced through the use of long-developed security technologies.

▲Currently, the number of devices equipped with Snapdragon X series processors is expected to exceed 85 by the end of this year.

Cristiano Amon emphasized that they will continue to work closely with Microsoft to promote the AI PC experience based on Windows on Snapdragon. He also explained that there are currently more than 85 Windows on Snapdragon devices on the market or in development, covering different price ranges, and it is expected that more than 100 designs will enter the market next year.

▲ Recently, Microsoft, Acer, HP, and Samsung have all launched new laptops using Snapdragon X, Snapdragon X Plus, or Snapdragon X Elite processors.

Through its deep collaboration with Microsoft, Qualcomm emphasizes that not only does Windows on Snapdragon devices offer high performance, lightweight design, and long battery life, but it also further expands the software compatibility ecosystem. Currently, over 750 applications are compatible with the Snapdragon X-series computing platform, including 200 of the most popular apps. Over 1400 games can also run smoothly on this computing platform. Qualcomm also revealed that Epic Games' "Fortnite" will be able to run smoothly on the Snapdragon X Elite computing platform by the end of this year.

Drawing on past security technology developments in mobile devices, IoT devices, and more, Cristiano Amon further explained that this technological foundation allows Windows on Snapdragon designs to be used not only in the general consumer market, but also to penetrate further into the commercial market, while ensuring their security.
