Qualcomm announced a collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group to adopt Qualcomm technology in future dedicated vehicle models for mobile solutions, including the introduction of Qualcomm's next-generation Snapdragon automotive cockpit platform.
In fact, Qualcomm has been collaborating with Hyundai Motor Group on in-vehicle mobile communication experiences based on the Snapdragon automotive connectivity platform as early as 2011. The announcement of this cooperation is to deepen the level of technology application introduction between the two parties.
In this collaboration, Hyundai Motor Group will introduce designs such as the new generation Snapdragon automotive cockpit platform into its future mobility solution-specific vehicles, allowing the vehicles to be used for mobility, logistics, commercial activities, or healthcare services.
At the same time, through the application of Qualcomm solutions corresponding to smart networking and artificial intelligence technology, interactive experiences such as adaptive human-machine interface and in-vehicle digital assistant can be provided, allowing users to communicate seamlessly with the vehicle to ensure comfortable and safe riding.
“Qualcomm Technologies has been a trusted technology partner to the automotive industry for over two decades, with leading automakers looking to us for leadership, innovation, and expertise,” said OH Kwon, senior vice president, Qualcomm Technologies and president, Qualcomm Asia Pacific. “We are pleased to collaborate with Hyundai Motor Group on their purpose-built mobility vehicles, delivering digital in-car experiences powered by the Snapdragon Automotive Cockpit Platform.”
