At the end of the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2023 event, Qualcomm actually presented its twoSnapdragon X Elite processorThe company presents actual performance data for its two reference designs, providing a more detailed comparison of their performance with competing processors.
The reference design on display also supports versions with an upper limit of 80W operating power and a low-power operating power of 23W. This means that designs using the Snapdragon X Elite processor can have greater flexibility, thereby corresponding to designs that can achieve higher computing performance or maintain a certain operating performance while also achieving longer battery life.
The data released by Qualcomm this time (see bottom of the article) is essentially official. Although the on-site display design model was still an engineering version and therefore not open to media for hands-on testing, on-site staff still conducted tests using common performance benchmarks such as Cinebench 2024, GeekBench V6.2, and 3DMark to verify actual computing performance.
Qualcomm's design targets the Snapdragon X Elite against Intel's Core i9-13980HX, Core i7-13800H, AMD's Ryzen 9 7940HS, and Apple's M2 processor. This means that products powered by the Snapdragon X Elite processor will not only cater to the mid-to-high-end laptop market, but will also rival the performance of Apple's recently launched Apple Silicon processor, which has surprised many.
In previous announcements, the Snapdragon X Elite not only collaborates closely with Microsoft to achieve high compatibility with the Windows operating system environment, but also supports the DirectX 12 API, enabling it to run many DirectX API-based game content and video editing and creation software in the Windows operating system environment. The integration of Snapdragon Seamless technology will allow users to operate cross-platform devices in a more intuitive way, thereby enhancing the convenience of Snapdragon X Elite applications.

Qualcomm officially released the actual performance comparison results:
Since we couldn't actually do the test on site, we had to rely on Qualcomm staff to do the test. Therefore, the actual data we could get was relatively limited. We can even see that some of the data actually showed that the test conditions were relatively favorable to the Snapdragon X Elite. (Or perhaps only data that is more favorable to the Snapdragon X Elite is released).
Therefore, the actual test results may have to wait until the Snapdragon X Elite is released and the actual application products are put into the market and further tested before they can be confirmed.
