Qualcomm announced a multi-year partnership agreement with Sony to collaborate on a new generation of smartphones, with the Snapdragon processor platform expected to be used in flagship, high-end, and mid-range phones.
Currently, Sony's mobile phones have been deeply cooperating with Qualcomm on processor platforms. For example, the Xperia 1 V launched this year uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, while mid-range mobile phones use the Snapdragon 600 series processor platform.
The announcement of this cooperation means that Sony will continue to deeply adopt Qualcomm processor products in its mobile phone products.
In addition to the processor product collaboration, Qualcomm has also announced a deep integration of its processor products with Sony's photosensitive components to enable more complete Snapdragon Sight imaging technology application performance.
