The race for the thinnest and lightest smartphones is far from over. HONOR recently unveiled the Magic8 Pro Air, touted as breaking the record for the thinnest and lightest candybar flagship phone. This new phone packs a massive 5500mAh battery and a periscope telephoto lens into a mere 6.1mm thick body weighing only 155 grams. HONOR also announced a collaboration with the trendy toy brand Pop Mart to launch the "HONOR 500 Pro MOLLY 20th Anniversary Limited Edition."
Magic8 Pro Air: As thin as paper, as hard as steel
The Magic8 Pro Air emphasizes the golden triangle balance of "small size, ultra-thin and light, and long battery life". It features a 6.31-inch four-sided 1.5K display screen with a peak brightness of up to 6000 nits, supports 4320Hz PWM high-frequency dimming and 10 eye protection technologies.
With an overall thickness of only 6.1mm and a weight of just 155 grams, it stands out in a market where flagship phones often weigh over 200 grams. To ensure the strength of the body, Honor uses its self-developed high-strength 7-series aluminum alloy to create the frame, claiming a bending resistance of 100 kg. It also supports IP68 and IP69 dual dust and water resistance standards, addressing concerns about thin and light phones being easily bent or getting wet.
In terms of color options, it offers four colors: light orange, fairy purple, feather white, and shadow black. The back cover uses a 7-coat, 7-baking light-reflecting overlay process.
Powered by Dimensity 9500, the Qinghai Lake battery undergoes further evolution.
