The Pokémon Company announced its first permanent outdoor Pokémon-themed facility."PokéPark KANTO"It will officially open on February 5, 2026. The official website has released a new promotional video, revealing the park map, facilities, exclusive merchandise, and ticket sales information.
"PokéPark KANTO" is located in Yomiuriland Park in Tokyo, Japan, nestled in the natural environment of the Tama Hills. The official description states that over 600 Pokémon will reside in the forest and town within its boundaries.
Park Guide: Entrance Plaza, Pokémon Forest, Kussa Town
According to the published park map, PokéPark KANTO is mainly divided into three areas:
• Pokémon Park Entrance Plaza: Trainers will see Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle as soon as they enter the plaza. This area includes the entrance to the two main areas, "Professor Levi's Lab" (entrance requires a ticket), and the "Pokémon Fan Shop," which requires a numbered pass to enter.
• Pokémon Woods: This is a beautiful forest approximately 500 meters long, featuring diverse terrain including rolling paths, tall grass, tunnels, and mountain trails. The Pokémon inhabiting this area primarily come from the Kanto region.Note:Entry is only permitted with a Trainer Pass or Elite Trainer Pass, and children under 5 years old are not allowed.
• Viridian Town: This area is the commercial and entertainment center of the park, including the "Pokémon Trainer Market" which sells various merchandise, the "Pokémon Center" which recreates scenes from the games (with Chansey as a welcome guest), the "Friendly Shop" (selling exclusive drinks), and the "Viridian Gym" which hosts stage performances.
Two major amusement rides and four major entertainment shows
The town of Chosa features two rides that require separate tickets, as well as various entertainment performances:
Amusement rides (tickets required):
• Pika Pika Party: A facility operated by 30 or more Electric-type Pokémon.
• Vui Vui Vroom Tour: An Eevee-themed carousel, pulled by Ponyta and Flamehorse.
Entertainment performances/Welcome reception:
• Pikachu Pikachu Sparkling!: A sound and light stage performance held at the Kusanagi Dojo.
• Pikachu Bubble Parade: A parade of Pikachu and Eevee in Kusanagi Town.
• Pokémon House: A daily welcome party featuring different Pokémon (planned appearances include: Clefairy, Vulpix, Psyduck, Gengar, Lapras, Dragonite, etc.).
• Pikachu Playroom: Interact with Pikachu and Eevee dressed in special outfits and take photos (includes an exclusive paper photo frame).
Exclusive merchandise and food: Trainer Pikachu, Delicious Water
The park will also launch a large number of exclusive merchandise and food items:
Exclusive merchandise:
• Pikachu and Eevee plush toys and charms dressed in "Pokémon Trainer Market" outfits.
• Various merchandise depicting park scenes (Pokémon Forest, Sosa Town).
• Stylish headbands and doll hats (can transform into Pokémon).
Selected dishes:
• Recreate the bottled beverages "Delicious Water", "Refreshing Soda", and "Fruit Milk" from the game.
• Special drinks featuring the moves of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.
• Pikachu (Pineapple) and Eevee (Chocolate) face-shaped popsicles.
Ticket information: Tickets go on sale on November 21st, starting from 7900 yen, available in three tiers.
Tickets for "PokéPark KANTO" will go on sale starting November 21st, with prices varying depending on the date of entry. All ticket types include admission to Yomiuriland. Currently, three ticket types have been announced:
Elite Trainer Pass:
• Price: From 14000 yen.
• Benefits: Unrestricted access to Pokémon Forest and Kussa Town. Enjoy special welcome receptions, reserved seats for gym performances, priority lines for rides, exclusive gifts, and other perks.
Trainer Pass:
• Price: From 7900 yen.
• Benefits: You can enter the Pokémon Forest once within a specified time (you cannot re-enter), and you can enter the Grass Town without a specified time.
Town Pass: (Expected to be added in the summer of 2026)
• Rights: Can only enter Grassy Town (cannot enter Pokémon Forest), children under 3 years old can enter Grassy Town for free.
