During its earlier "State of Play" livestream, PlayStation announced numerous new game titles and downloadable content. It also announced the launch of a PlayStation-branded gaming screen that can charge the DualSense controller. Furthermore, to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the PlayStation 5 console, a digital version with a Japanese language interface will be available in the Japanese market, priced at 55000 yen (approximately NT$11058).
The promotional campaign launched in Japan to coincide with the 5th anniversary of the PlayStation 5 is themed "GO! GO! PS5!", and uses puns such as "GO! Hao Kuai" (Go! Go!), "GO! Hua Luo" (Go! Luxury), "GO! Hao Wai" (Go! Extra!), and "GO! Hao Yi" (Go! Crying) to emphasize the promotional incentives of this campaign.
Among these, the suggested retail price of the Japanese-language interface-only digital version of the PlayStation 5, launched specifically for the Japanese market in conjunction with this event, has been adjusted to 55000 yen, aiming to attract more players in Japan. Considering the current suggested retail price of the digital PlayStation 5 in Taiwan is NT$14580, which has been reduced to NT$11380 due to the recent Double 11 promotion, it still remains attractively priced.
However, it should be noted that the Japanese language interface launched for the Japanese market is limited to digital devices, and the language interface can only be used in Japanese. At the same time, the login account can only be a Japanese account.

In addition to launching a 5th anniversary promotion in the Japanese market, PlayStation also announced the release of a 27-inch gaming monitor with an interface that can charge the DualSense controller. It supports QHD resolution, a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz, and HDR display specifications, and also supports variable refresh rate (VRR) display effects. However, the actual display specifications still require hardware connection and game content to match. The PlayStation 5 currently supports a maximum output display refresh rate of 120Hz.
This gaming monitor is compatible with PlayStation 5, PC, Mac and other hardware devices. It features built-in HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, two USB-A ports and one USB-C port, and also supports PlayStation Link Adapters. The monitor also has built-in stereo output and a 3.5mm headphone jack interface, and can be mounted on a monitor stand via VESA standard.
As for the launch date, it is expected to be in 2026, initially in the US and Japanese markets. Whether other regions will follow suit is still uncertain.
