Panasonic has announced the launch of the new mirrorless camera LUMIX G100D. As the successor to the LUMIX G2020 launched in 100, it is also designed for the needs of shooting vlog video content, and is also enhanced for still image shooting.
The LUMIX G100D uses a 2030-megapixel sensor with a sensitivity range of ISO 200-25600, which can be expanded to ISO 100. It supports automatic recognition focus and tracking of human eyes and faces, and the body weighs only 346 grams.
As for the still image shooting function, the LUMIX G100D is equipped with a 4K photo mode achieved through continuous shooting, and has added 12 photo styles and 22 creative special effects. It can also optimize the shooting settings through automatic scene recognition and provide 23 scene shooting mode recommendations.
Video recording features include 4K 24p/30p and Full HD 60p/30p/24p, and the ability to capture realistic soundstages via a built-in microphone with OZO Audio technology. Furthermore, to facilitate sharing videos online, the LUMIX G100D supports a red outline to indicate the aspect ratio range for social media postings.
As for the body design, it uses a 236 million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder, and the micro USB connection port used in the past has been changed to USB-C, but the fast charging function has not been added.
The LUMIX G100D will be sold with a lens combination. The standard combination with the LUMIX G VARIO 12-32mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / MEGA OIS has a suggested retail price of 89000 yen (tax excluded), while the standard combination with the new tripod handle accessory has a suggested retail price of 94000 yen (tax excluded). As for the combination with the LUMIX G VARIO 45-150mm / F4.0-5.6 ASPH. / MEGA OIS lens, the suggested retail price is 107000 yen (tax excluded), and the new tripod handle accessory is priced at 9800 yen (tax excluded).
