HTC announced earlier that Orange Executive Vice President Yves Maitre will take over as CEO, effective immediately. After Yves Maitre takes over as HTC CEO, Wang Xuehong will continue to serve as HTC's chairman.
Prior to joining HTC, Yves Maitre worked at French telecom operator Orange for 14 years and began collaborating with HTC in 2005. He later served as Senior Vice President of Consumer Devices and Partnerships at Orange and was a member of Orange's Innovation Technology Group, responsible for exploring and developing breakthrough innovative business opportunities.
Yves Maitre, CEO of HTC, said: "HTC has always been a pioneer in global technology innovation, and I am honored to be appointed by the Board of Directors as CEO to lead HTC into the next phase. In the future, Wang Xuehong will continue to serve as the chairman of HTC and will focus on future technology strategies and corporate direction to promote the expansion of HTC's product portfolio and the VIVE Reality vision.
