Pete Lau, who has returned to OPPO as its product chief, recently shared a set of parts on Twitter that appear to feature a foldable mechanism, seemingly hinting at a new foldable phone.
However, Liu Zuohu did not hint at what product this part will be used for, so it is impossible to guess whether it will be used in OPPO or OnePlus brand products.
Prior to this, OPPO had revealed that it would strengthen its layout in the foldable screen mobile phone market and would continue to study what kind of foldable user experience could change the existing mobile phone usage mode and bring a more convenient operating experience.
If the OnePlus brand was merged into the OPPO system last year and maintained independent operations, thereby targeting different markets and product development strategies, perhaps the company would also target a differentiated market layout for its foldable screen mobile phone products under different brands, or even create a more unique foldable screen mobile phone product by leveraging the OnePlus brand spirit.
