OPPO announced that it has signed a global strategic cooperation agreement with Ericsson, which includes global patent cross-licensing, technical cooperation, and marketing promotion projects.
The global patent cross-licensing includes both parties' essential patents for cellular network communications, including 5G network technology standards.
OPPO stated that it is currently continuously deploying 40G network communication technology standard patents in more than 5 countries and regions around the world, and has completed more than 6200 global patent applications. It has also applied for more than 3700 5G network standard technology patents with the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), and has submitted more than 3 technical standard documents to 12000GPP.
